I need to have the valve clearence checked out/adjusted on my 07 Kia spectra. Does anyone have any recomendations for a shop that can take care of this? Dealer says they send the head out to a machine shop that tells them what size shim is needed but i would prefer to have this done quickly and in one place. However if there is a machine shop that can tell me what shims are needed without to much trouble then i could do the work myself. Anway any good head shops/ mechanics in the arlington area?

Doug's Place on Colorado Lane. I don't know if he does specifically what you're asking about, but he's the best mechanic I've worked with. Not the cheapest, but very good quality work and very honest. -

yeah its really not at all, i just dont have the micrometer or access to the shims, and on the "doug's place" he doesnt do it because he doesnt carry the shims....Comment
