  • Bear (Sp) Brake up grade for Fox Mustang

    I picked up a set of the Bear brakes for the front of a Foxbody Mustang. This is the kit that uses late model Corvette brakes and has a re machined rotor that has been re drilled to 4 bolt pattern. I have the hubs and the welded up spindols too. Is this an OK set up, or is a lot of work for a very little gain. I also got the Cougar bigger 4 lug drums and brakes for the rear. Anyone ever do this swap ?

    Should have just done the SN95 Cobra swap. Cheaper, get 5 lugs, 4 wheel disc. Who wants corvette parts on their mustang??

        I know that would have been better, but I already had a built 4 bolt rear end and a new set of 4 bolt wheels.

          Stock brakes with hawk pads, and a prop valve.

            That changes things, but you're gonna spend money either way. 5 bolt is better than 4 in every way.

            Tough choice.

              Better than stock, but won't touch 4 wheel discs with the same pads.

                That's cool. You might want to upgrade the m/c too for the larger calipers.
