Trick , we did a cfi conversion on an 85 a while back and that car with just 3.55's , a new carb and exhaust went an 8.8 on dr's so there is hope for yours .
Crash , your combo sounds killer . I can't wait to see it and I think you are gonna ruffle some feathers . Like I said this is gonna be a fun year .
Rusty , I love the BBQ idea . Lets watch the weather .Big Rooster Racing

I'm down for a barbecue. Let me know when and where and what I need to bring.

I'm gonna have to build another short block for mine before too long. It's using some oil.
I've got access to a free 302 out of a '90s Bronco. Thought about just building about a 10:1 347 and running it with the top end I've got. Maybe getting some better heads down the road.

Thats not a bad plan just make sure its well balanced so the stock block stays together . I'm a bigger fan of the 351 but it all depends where you want to end up . How old is your short block now ? Have you done a compression test to see whats going on ? Just because you uses oil does not mean its wore out . It could have another issue thats an easy fix . You might just want to over bore your block if it is and up the compression with some new pistons . Just a few ideas .Big Rooster Racing

His car is way heavier . I know , I've pushed it . LOL His hood weighs as much as the bubble hatch on my capri and he has all the electronics and ground effects . He also has iron heads . I told him that fat biotch needs to go on a diet . By titles I think he ment the title like rank .Last edited by dumpycapri85; 12-23-2010, 11:20 AM.Big Rooster Racing

I'm going to buy a beater soon so I don't have to drive the car every day. Then I'll be ok with having the engine out of it for longer than a weekend. I need a new clutch too.
I actually thought about stepping up to a 351, but not sure if I want to spend all the extra money on the other shit I would need to go with the bigger Windsor.
