  • pulling the motor on my cobra

    so i have the motor mostly ready to pull. my question is do i deed to drain the a/c and power steering to pull it from the top or is there a way around it?

    Just disconnect the compressor and pump from the motor and yank it on out

      have you ever looked at how the hoses are ran on a 03 cobra? if it were just that simple i wouldnt have needed to ask

          Power steering and ac can both stay thier just unbolt them. Dont disconect your ac lines theirs no need to.

            Just un bolt the compressor and ps pump from the block then pull from the top. I do it all the time at the shop, piece of cake.

                      U can pull motor tranny harness and intake and exhaust manifolds out through the top. Loosen the 8 bolts on the k member but dont take them all the way out.that will make it easier

                        Make sure and put a pushrod motor back in, it'll save you some headache

                              agreed my next engine will be an LSx with some torque! after pulling the front cover off my old 4V i knew exactly why it broke!
