If I have a 750 dp with 4 corner idle air bleeds can I replace the secondary metering block with no idle air bleed adjustments? Is there a mod that has to be done for this to work?

I'm sure there is, but why?

I was having issues with my secondary metering block. It seems like it has a blockage and has a rear pv. I have another metering block w/o adjustments and w/o a pv that is clean and ready to run. I was just wondering if they will swap without mods.

Generally speaking, yes, it will work.

If the secondary block is clogged in the pvrc, then for a test - install a PV plug and jet it up 5-9 sizes.

The PV just gives you two things, lean cruise (it only runs off of the main jets when closed).

..and it gives you enrichment under WOT when the PV opens. MOST cars don't even need a secondary power valve.

It already has a plug with 74 jets. It was having a bad stutter when the secondaries open.

I don't know why I thought you had a secondary PV.

It's tough to block the entire main well out to the boosters with trash (from the jets). I'm not saying it's not possible, but it's tough to do it. Your problem will likely reside in a bad gasket (maybe covering the feed hole from the accelerator pump) or maybe on the metering block side.

if it's not that, then you're likely experiencing a misadjusted squirter, loose cam, or simply not sized properly for what you're trying to do.

Maybe ill just try to fix what I have. Ill check the gasket first definately. I loaned the carb to a buddy and its possible he put the wrong gasket or the gasket incorrectly. Thanks for the help.

Check the accelerator pump arm for bieng out of adjustment. It should NOT have tension on it at rest, and should be close to 0 air gap, maybe as high as .020" or so. Same form primaries.

The accelerator pump arm is ok. I looked down the secondaries while duplicating the issue. When I pop the thottle open wi the car running it stutters and picks up when squirters hit the throttle blades. That what was making me think there is a blockage in the metering block.
