  • where to buy these drum brake "pins"

i do not know the proper name for them but they hold the brake shoe up against the plate. somehow mine got all bent and fucked up. can you buy these at an autoparts store? i called one once and they said they only carry kits but i dont wanna buy a whole fucking kit for just one piece. i have straightened it out before but it got bent again and started making a faint squeking(sp?) sound again. gonna straighten it out since i am bored here at work, just wondering if i could buy one or a couple instead of a whole kit

car is a 06 kia rio, thanks.

oh and here is a pic, i know the pic is grainy but i'm sure you know what i am talking about. if not then you probably can't help me anyways

Just get the whole kit and replace everything. You have to take it all apart anyways. I think the kit is around 10 bucks.

now i'm thinking of just going ahead and changing out both sets of brake shoes and parts kit. might as well if i'm gonna be taking it all apart

I would. It's cheap and you probably wont have to mess with it again. Oh yea, double check the spring links. Autozone likes to sell sets with springs that aren't exactly the same length as the originals.

even though i'm sure it'll cost more, i'll just buy OEM. unless it's just stupidly priced
