It's louder! LOL! Yeah, I think so, but I'll be honest, my meter isn't very well calibrated any more. It all feels slow to me! haha! The shifts are DEFINITELY firmer, pulls pretty good up top, breaks them loose through first and on the 1-2 shift. My car has the 3.15 rear gears, so it doesn't really get going until about 50mph or so, so it's hard to test it out. I need to get back to the track and get some "after" times....

possibly, honestly i haven't had even one race in the car, figure a coyote would be a good run.

what is the fastest bone stock coyote (down to factory tires) running? record for the ls3 c6 m6 is 11.7@119.94

5.0 magazine did an All Coyote Shootout at MIR late last year, and IIRC, the fastest stock tire 5.0 ran 11.8x @ 116 or so. Still not sure how they managed to hook at all on those damn Pirelli tires.

              link?

i found the classes listed for that race and it just list "DOT tires", which we all know means sticky drag radials.

Google it. Do you Bowtie boys need to be shown how to do everything?

That car sounds a lil loud for "stock" too. My car isn't anywhere near that loud stock.

guess so, i'm not seeing any stock tire 5.0's going 11.7@116

I have the magazine at the house, never looked online for it. There were several classes ran that day, but the last class was basically pure stock, right down to factory tires. They ranged from 11.8x to about where I ran with mine (12.10).

I personally haven't seen anything THAT fast yet on factory tires. The quickest I have seen is a 12.0. Maybe the new 5.0 crowd is using the old "ls1 stock" parameters of what is and isn't stock. lol.

here is the event you are talking about.

fastest stock tire was 11.94/114 and he had intake/mufflers and a tune

the 11.7@119.94 ls3 c6 m6 i posted was BONE STOCK (showroom stock is what it is called, down to the run flats)

The quickest completely-stock 5.0 on its original tires went 12.223@115.18. This is at Cecil County and that track seems to hover around -2000 to -3000 DA.

I'm pretty sure there's no one quicker than this, or at least claiming to be while still completely stock.
