Poor throttle response 94 GT

I have a 94 GT with high mileage. When I got the car a while back it had noticeably better throttle response and power. And the engine ran a bit smoother. Are there any common problems with those 5.0's that might lead to this? I must confess I'm only an amateur at best so any help would be great .

Do a tune up. plugs, wires, fuel filter, distributor cap and rotor, and check the timing.

Sorry I should have mentioned. I did all that about 3 months ago. A full and complete tune up.

But I will check the timing. I don't think I ever checked that.
