The suspension is almost 25, should it all be replaced? How can I improve the ride if I want to make it my daily? I just noticed latemodelrestoration has some type of layaway plan so I'm gonna try it out, maybe I five lug conversion...idk

Has any part of the suspension been replaced since new?

If not, I would wager its time for new shocks\struts\quad shocks at the very least...

It looks like the shocks were replaced at one time but it still rides like crap. Maybe they're old now.

How.would I know if I need a new rack and pinion? I know the boot has a tear and need to be replaced but I'm thinking.the whole.damn thing has to go...

Foxes are now old cars with old car problems which will include needing full restoration alot of times now. Best thing would to be completely overhaul now to set it up with whatever kind of driving you plan to do with it most times.

Looks like I'll be needing everything. I want a smoother ride with a little performance, something to tighten up the chassis

One of the most common indicators of a problem with the rack and pinion is loose steering, increased steer effort, uneven tire wear.... etc, etc...

If you want a better ride when replacing shocks / struts do not be tempted by the cheaper brands.....stay away from KYB Gas-a-just....pure crap and will ride rougher than you are already riding.

The maximum motorsports stuff is great stuff but be prepared to open up the wallet.

OEM stuff may offer the best ride & may be the least expensive route to take. This all depends on what you are looking for from your Mustang.

I just want a smooth ride, I won't be doing any racing or anything like that. Just want to make this car into a good daily
                      Why is kyb crap?

Koni shocks are 20% off at Maximum Motorsports through April.

What slow said, my truck had brand new Monroe shocks and it rode like a tractor. I put Bilstiens on it from a stock blazer and it made a huge improvement. I suggest quality struts/shocks, bushing that have play, and a good greasing.

You can probably replace some of the stuff with motorcraft parts and be happy however, it's been over two decades and factory specs in my opinion are completely outdated. Go aftermarket. Like somebody said, shocks, struts, control arms, all the bushings...

Should help quite a bit. Plus you have the opportunity to lower it and not only make it look better but ride a little bit better as long as you don't go too extreme with the lowering.
