Does anyone have a portable code scanner? Is there anything to stay away from when buying one. I see several in the sub $30 range. I would imagine with a handheld that just reads the codes from the computer, there isn't much that could go wrong. Do they all have the ability to clear the codes?

the $30 dollar one will just show the code. Then you can get online to see what the code means. the higher dollar ones give you possible reasons why the code is up. The cheap ones are able to erase the code. I believe there are 4 buttons, up and down and erase and read lol1993 Vibrant Red Cobra #1741.
If you want more inches - Stroke it!!!

lol. I've had a laundry list of problems with this truck. One of which was an evap system leak after I replaced the fuel pump the first time. Just replaced the fuel pump a second. The first replacement lasted less than 70K miles. I need to have the computer re-programmed to eliminate the second 02 sensor, I know that code is in there, however, there is no telling what other codes this damn thing has registered.Originally posted by LeahBest balls I've had in my mouth in a while.

Use a 20% off...
Make sure it's CAN for newer vehicles...
