            Yeah this time, I remember the first year I went my 95 was stock and I ran next to a turbo car 14.7 to a 9.?? its one of the cars turbostang works on the capri. it was 6-9 years ago. I was hoping to be in the top 5 but I ran a 10.9 avg and won. I hope to be a low 10 to high 9 at the ennis one.

            There were 39 cars in the true street event and I dont know how many people entered the rest. I thought it was ran really good this year, I know I had fun, but I did get to go hang out with my buddies and not have to work for the weekend so I probably would have had fun no matter what.

            I will be at the Ennis one and then go to NMHRA event @ baytown too.

              I hope there are more people that show up to the Ennis one but everyone likes to get on the band wagon bashing the event. Im sure if you go any where and look for stuff to be wrong there will be stuff you get mad about but I had a blast. They had a road coarse set up and that was fun watching the cars do that.

              There are things they could improve on but that costs more money so hopefully a bunch of people will go to Ennis this year.

                When is the Ennis event? Maybe I can get mine back together in time to make it.....and I certainly plan to be in Baytown for the NMRA event.

                  It's subjective to what the person is wanting to do with the car. Some people don't want a long runner intake and have to to spin the motor to 7k to get into the rpm range. Yes that is exaggerating a tad, but you get the point. Sometimes a stock intake IS best based on the goals of the car and what it's being built for.

                      I shift at 6300k and it makes power at 2500-6300 I can spin it to 7k but it doesn't make power after 6300 cause of my heads. They don't have to be spun high to be beneficial, my car is very street able, but I haven't ever put one of these intakes on a 302 based motor sooo maybe mine just makes enough torque that it doesn't hurt me.

                          Ok, let's say I were to go with the Victor EFI. At that point, could the cam, custom of course, be designed to bring the power band down a bit? What would be lost?

                            What is your compression ratio? What type of heads do do you have? Have they been ported? I run a TMoss ported RPM II on my 331. It flows right at 280cfm. My heads probably flow a tad more, but not enough that I'm going to worry about it. I'm just guessing but I would think in order to make that hp you will need heads that flow at 300 or greater. For $150 TMoss could port a TFS R intaker that would flow over 310 CFM. For $300 he could do slightly better with a Victor EFI. After that you can go with the Super Victor, elbow, and tb. I think the TFS R or even the Victor EFI will reach peak potential easily under 6000 RPM if you have the correct valve timing events. This will be determined by your custom camshaft.

                              well, there's a few things I don't know just yet due to the shortblock not being built yet. I'd like to keep compression at about 10.5:1 or maybe even 11:1. trying to keep it on pump gas. Heads are AFR 205's 58cc with following upgrades by Ed Curtis:

                                Super Victor Carb style intake, 90 mm elbow, and 90mm tb, TFS R ported lower with Box upper would be my 2 choices for that setup. If you wanted to pony up the cash you could even go for the carb style tb on top of that Super Victor intake.
