Sounds like the starter gear is impacting the flywheel, and not twisting to engage into the teeth. I had a starter do this once, and if the teeth were not allinged 100% it wouldnt grab and spin.
I hear two clicks. Is the second click as soon as you let off the key? If you held it at start for say, a second or two, would the second click not come until you back off the key? If so that is exactly the issue I'm describing. The little gear is thrusting out, hitting the flywheel, which is the noise you here, and the second click is it pulling back in.
If you need to move it, turn the engine just a touch to help the gears align, and i bet it will start.
