  • Fuel Pumps NADA

So I go to the car wash, car won't start
Had to tow it home, Fuel pump won't kick-in
Haven't had chance to look into-at work now
    What could it be?
I know it could be one of many things,
in case someone here has had similar issue.

Did you check the inertia switch? Rear of the hatch against the bulkhead on the driver's side.

    Good looking car though!
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

      Thanks Keith
Did not do that, had a hard time finding it.
My Battery is relocated right in that area hard to get to,
But will check that out tomorrow for sure.

If it is tripped (red button in the up position) their needs to be a reason why. If the button is down check the fuse under the seat.

What fuel pump is in it? It may be the right time to swap that tank and install your eliminator set up.

inertia switch, relay under driver seat...

My 90 had the same problem, i replaced everything...ran a hot wire from battery through a relay and toggle switch to turn the pump on cause I couldnt find the cause... I drove the car like this for a year...wound up being the eec-iv....I think the fuel pump driver in the computer went bad or something..

Oh that is true. Under the MAF right? I totally forgot that. All my mustangs had them under the seat.

Intank walbro + inline booster neither would go on,
booster on a separate relay but switched on from the tank.
Never had this happen will look at the relays-switches
Was not planning on doing the sump tank swap yet even though
I have most of the essential parts
So the inertia switch is inside the driver side on the '93?
Was told inside the kick panel, don't remember seing a relay or switch on the driver side
floor when I replaced the carpet..

switch is in the back behind the driver's tail light. little black box with a red round button on the top. if it is in the down position is fine.

Relay should be on the passenger side shock tower. There are two. It's the bigger one. I'd start there.

                        Inertia switch was ok,
Disconnected the booster pump-that wasn't it
Occured to me to jump my battery with the other car
turned switch on w/o turning motor pumps turned on, However
they dont shut-off, same thing happens when running the in-tank pump solo
kicks in does not shut off, disconnected the jump and pumps kept running
unfortunately I don't have a fuel psi gauge tied to the EFI part.
Trying to get one ASAP if anyone has a spare gauge I'll take it.
Car won't start, did not have time to check for spark as I work today,
another odd thing is when pump is on w/o turning off I can hear what
sounds like flow from the lines near the regulator.
