I agree with all the value assessment so far. These thing are rare, but the options that make them valuable usually dissappeared over the years. At least that one still has the pillar lights. Hopefully it has all the tags that ID it as a SSP car. I love the tan interior!

I'd be interested in seeing it if its going to be sold. I'd like to restore one.

I don't think they are worth anything more then any other coupe unless they are mint . Every SSP car was beat to death , riddled with holes for lights and equipment and had very minimal upgrades to make them any different . Everybody says they were maintained by the PD on a schedule and this is true but have you ever seen how cops treat there cars ? They are also high mile cars and not that this is a big deal but that also does not account for the endless hours of being parked at idle with the a/c on doing paper work or munching donuts . Yes its cool that they used 5.0's but I think its a bunch of hipe over nothing . I bought a nice black coupe while in Florida . It had Welds , a spray kit and nice exaust . Got it back to the shop , found out it had an oil cooler and a big hole in the center of the dash under a dash cover . Did some further looking and sure enough it was a FHP car . Took the mod parts off swaped on stock stuff and sold it .

Minus needing not to get screwed on my next paint job, and needing new door strikers, my car is over all still in excellent shape. The body panels line up. Its hard to say what they actually go for, but if you keep an eye on ebay, you will see some clean ones go for as much as 93 cobras. Ridiculous, yes, but after talking to several owners, and restorers of them, they say they bring good money. Plus its a piece of history. It was the last time the mustang was used as a full scale cop car. There is a really really clean one, that I have seen at a few shows. It has all the original equipment, and light bar. I watched a black guy walk up and whip out 12k in cash, and told him he wanted to buy it. The guy passed on it, and told him it was worth more then that lol. I gave 6k for my car, and had to do paint and body on it.

This is the ad for the OP's . I think 2500 is too much .

This one has a bunch of mods asking 3500

This is a nice one from 2010 when the market was beter and I think it was priced right asking 5500 with wheels .

Maybe they are rare here but in Florida there are more FHP coupes then strippers .

Man, I want some tan interior. I've looked and looked to no avail. Way easier to find a black interior. I bought a 4 banger a couple years back just for the black interior, and sold the car with some wore out gray interior for more than I paid for it. I haven't found a single 4 banger within a days drive with tan interior.

CHP, FHP, THP used them the most, but for some reason the Texas cars are most sought after, or at least that is what I see. Most of them met tragic ends. The survivors, are that true survivors. They are are nothing different then a few changes like the speedo, and trunk release button, but they are cool as heck. It's well worth picking it up and restoring it IMO.

I will take before and after pics of this 95 GT im in the middle of getting ready to put up for sale & let the pictures do the talking.

Keep in mind the OP posted he was looking at this as a flip car. Not a personal. You cany afford to turn a profit if you pay top $$$ for body work & paint!

well, you got a point there SEB. if I were to do a flip car I would probably go the cheapest route also, but you have to keep in mind that the first thing the buyer looks at is the paint, and if the paint work is not good then the price willing to be payed will be lower. $500 doesn't even cover good quality supplies, and that doesn't even cover any of the base and clear.
