Boport makes great stuff. I can personnaly attest to the power gains of ANY of Bo's cams as i ran testing for him on all his grinds.

I jumped from 375whp to 407, 417, 423, and finally with 438whp on a STg3 Cam... (rough for street driving IMO) ( he was testing cams for drivability and low end trq (street use))

I also have dyno charts (somewhere) that show the gains from having Don SVO port my head (which was better than Stock) to a Fully ported Boport Head...(like 30whp in the midrange gain)

Bobs logs and a 50 trim turbo should be your next jump.. WARNING THOUGH. if you opt for internal gating for the turbo, then keep the 2.25 out on the turbo... the second you jump to a 3" outlet, the internal gate will not keep up (will need an external gate).

Cheaper/decent upgrades would be a FMIC and more boost/tuning... If you are willing to learn a little you can get the ignition map from a SVO(more aggressive) loaded into the LA3 computer. Next would be a MAF conversion. etc etc etc....

I did a lot of trial and error stuff , spent some money and made Damn good power on a 2.3 reliably... BTW anything over 350whp you better upgrade the rods.... they will survive for a while north of 400Whp , but your sitting on a time bomb...Don't ask me how i know.

Maybe NEXT year i'll get time to start/finsih my SVO

BTW the FMIC STYLE you want is simliar to this... i can go into more detail later on if you like, but trustme this style works the best.... with the right turbo setup this style FMIC gained almost 30whp..over a simliar sized FMIC but with a different design

This was my progress over the course of 1.5 years.....

Started at 227whp.... Then went to 275whp... Final graph was completed by then, but this one shows to 424whp

This Graph shows my 2.3 with SC50 trim turbo, heade work etc etc with different Cams....

First Cam is the Essy 2277 (a popular turbo grind)
Second is a Stg 3 Boport Cam, (not the greatest streetability)
Third is the popular Ranger Roller Cam, (retarded 6*)

Notice the 88whp power difference between a stock RR cam and a stg3.....(of course you need all the fixens to get these numbers)

Justa4banger, where do you live? Do you ever go to a gtg?

For some reason, I thought you lived in Vegas. You can pm of course, if you don't want the world to know.

If you are close to DFW, I would mind driving over for a chat.

For the information above, seems good to know. My only experience is with what I have, which goes with what you said for the most part. I changed things in different order, and still had many stock parts that really needed to be upgraded.

My biggest "cheap" gain was K&N cone, changed the VAM to flow directly into the stock turbo, and unplugged the knock sensor because I could get 110 no lead at the pump in Tulsa. 40 hp difference at the rear wheel, from 177 to 217. This was from a gforce meter, not a real dyno though.

I turned it up next from 16 to 19. I don't remember the exact gain, but it was less, and by then I was back here so not as easy to get 110. Also found out that Gillis valves stick, and stock head gaskets don't like 30 psi of boost for some reason.

I'm curious over the details, as the one I have but have not yet installed is a straight thru design. It is a Spearco, and was on another SVO, but is not the SVO-specific one Spearco makes. I'd rather do that once, as I have to make all the cold side for it.
