I have quite a bit a stock stuff that I'm not going to use. If 87t-coupe doesn't want the head, I'll send the details to you.

I'm assuming you already have a 2.3? I've got engine parts, other than the blocks, which I should probably keep, intakes, tb, etc. I'll make you a deal. If you have a list of what you want, or I can get a list of what I think you'll need and got from there.

And it's Charles, Chas is just an old nickname.

Hey sucka, don't be selling off MY parts. I called dibs! lol. Still running your stock rear end? I would like a PM on the head also.

Let's do lunch when I get back to town.

Dude, you already have a swapped 2.3t. You're more than welcome to come by and we'll look and see what I have that you want. Most of it is just stock stuff, so you already have it on your car.

You'd love the head. If I choose not to use the header I got, that may me available before too long as well. It's pretty nice, just not sure I want to redo all that I just did to get the t3/t4 hybrid on there, as this header does not mount in the stock location...

I also have a strut brace that I'm not gonna use, as after buying a great NIB JBA, because I could not find the Maximum Motorsports one I wanted, I found one, so now I have both.

Lemme know if you want/need anything right now, and then swing by when you get back to town.

That would be backing up for me. I have the fully loaded, all options Esslinger d-port.

Also read up on the Volvo swap. When you get to the part of having to reseal the mismatched water ports every 3-6 months, it sounded like a bad idea to me. Granted, I spent a ridiculous amount on the d-port head.

You do the water ports like Drhaulsee did his, and deal with the head gasket being exposed out back. No worries

What? Who has had to reseal the ports?

I've almost gotten all my parts for the Folvo swap

I read about three different writeups before going with Esslinger. All made mention of sealing problems and continuous tweaking to deals with leaks. F that.

If it was a trick to scare people, it worked for me. I have not ever even seen a swapped car in person, only on the 'net.

I'm certainly interested to see how one goes. I think there are 3 people in DFW either doing it or contemplating it and gathering parts right now.

I just need to get off my ass and get mine back together. It sux as a static dispay.

Yeah, Its already got the 2.3, but its the dual plug head. And i hear they dont flow for shit. Ill probably just end up running a stock tc motor or something for awhile. I just dont wanna go through the pain of switching harnesses. Will the ranger harness plug up into a merkur or tc comp?

I do not know, but if I were you, I'd find a wrecked one tc or svo, and go from there. The ranger station has a pretty good following of people doing about ever 2.3 swap there is, so I'd start there. Sorry I could not be more help.

Get a TC drive train and complete harness. Swap it in.

Not to hijack, but I just bought an '88 TC, running and driving, complete car. It was totaled out, but because of a "T-bone" wreck, nothing in the front or rear of the car. I took it around the neighborhood- you should have seen the looks I got . It's a direct swap, with just re-pinning one pin on the harness, I believe. The only parts you'd need to buy are emergency brake cables (if the swap is the same as a Mustang).
