I found some grade 8s at lowes that worked great for my 302. they are 7/16 diameter and 2.5" long. Have a "JH" stamped on the end if that helps.Doug

Yep, 7/16 dia. by 14 pitch. Lenght will vary with bellhousing and bolt location.
Just an FYI, the 2 top most bolts need to be short. If you ever need to pull the bellhousing off with the motor sill in the car and the top 2 bolts are long you won't be able to get them out 'cause the will hit the firewall.
Therefore you can't remove the bellhousing.
