Note to self: recheck every nut after you drive around the block a couple times!!!!
After working on my 76 C10 yesterday I THOUGHT I was done.
As it turned out:
U-bolts not tightened all the way so the brackets that sit in the perches on the flip kit have have now broke the welds on the factory spring perches due to the axle housing pivoting!!
Now in addition to replacing the rear shocks, I get to repair those as well.
Need to get a welder and new spring perches now.
Any ideas locally where I can get new perches? I'm not sure these are salvageable now? The rear portion has the welds broken on both sides of the axle and bent upwards about a half inch. Yes, this sucks!!!
