LOL, everytime I do a bunch of work on the car I always think, is there anything I forgot. Last night I almost started it with a breakover bar on the crank pulley nut!!! This wasn't too hard to catch, I know glides are low tech, but I don't think leaving the car in gear and having to reach under and manually push the shift shaft into the case is normal!

I'm not really sure what the fuck you are trying to say there, but you can go fuck yourself anyways.

Unfortunately it did take a left hand turn, but it really sounded like to me someone had passed off a Mikes Trick Shift transmission to make a sale, knowing there was a problem/part missing.
I'm just glad dville got his transmission issue fix/under control.

Jyro gave me one (Mike said he had one for me as well but it is quite a drive), just bolted it in and she seems to shift like butter. Thanks again to everyone who helped and especially Jyro for helping out. Took off work tomorrow to iron out the bugs before the grudge wars.

Ok,look dude - I don't know who many ways to say it. No one knew there was a problem because it has never been put in a car.

I owned the trans and never installed it. Do you honestly think, I - of all people, knew it had a probem AND that I'd sell it to someone knowing it was bad, broken, or in some state of mis-repair?

just to update, trans is working flawlessly (albeit shift WAY harder on part throttle then my vacuum modulated auto valve bodied th350!)

new converter. after a few WOT runs the shifts have softened up a little (which is a good thing, it shifted HARD at first, now it feels good).

went ahead and adjusted the low band after a few runs on it.

then i just cruised around with the a/c blasting listening to jams and making turbo noises around arlington. life is good.

on the street or track. on the street i tried to launch off the brake @ 3k rpm and lit them up like nothing. i built 12psi on the tbrake @ 5k rpm though, if i had sticky enough tires i can't even imagine what that launch would feel like!

going to the grudge race tomorrow, hope to have some new best.

Do NOT start screwing with the band. It never needs adjustment unless your getting flaring between shifts in which case you need a in/lbs tourqe wrench to set right. But you shouldnt get flaring and if you do, have Mike adjust it for you.
