Prob. not a good idea to put a T.Brake on a used glide. Do you know any info on the components used in this glide? Is it stock? If so its not going to last long if it even make one pass. If the person that "built" it left the slide out you have to wonder what else may be left out, or it maybe just a core unit.
so this is the almighty MIKES TRICK SHIFT transmission??
OOOOOO HELL !!!!!!
the shit has hit the fan now!!!!
The shit's only hit the fan because you're throwing it up in the air. You can't stand for someone to give props to Mike for whatever reason - so much in fact that you try to shit up every thread in which he's mentioned it seems.
LOL, I knew you, of all people would jump on the opportunity to take a stab. So, a guy builds hundreds of transmissions yearly and is not allowed to make a single mistake? A mistake that's apparently in the instructions at that!

I can assure you it's not a 'stocker'. It has 7 or 8 fowards in a modified drum, TCI input shaft etc. The rest of the specifics escape me, but you get the idea.
It's the SAME setup that went a hundred or so passes in Clifton's car, and then in turn got put in my car to make a hundred or so more.
Just talked to TCI, when the tech read that instruction even he was like, "wow, that could be very misleading". Mike doesn't use TCI t-brakes, this one was brought to him, he also thought it was odd. The glide is not "used", it isn't new (like a all new case/internals), but it is a brand new build. It was a mistake and was caught before any problem arose. I appreciate everyone's help.

YOU ARE SO WRONG...
i have given Mike props more than 4 times.
its not even worth arguing with you about it.
like i have said before i have met Mike had, b-bq with Mike, drank beer with Mike etc.

I aint here to bash anyone. That is why I was asking sometimes a little history can go along ways. That said the instruction don't say to leave out the the roster comb slide it says to "do not bolt the stock detent plate on tran-brake" 2 different pieces which I think I have explained. I really don't care who built it and I really don't think if Mike built it that he left out the slide, sounds like somewhere somebody needed that part and they used it on a diff. unit.

good deal... glad you got it handled.
glad to hear even TCI could be a bit confused with their own product

No, I don't think you meant it to bash.
Not sure what happened, or why it happened. Rest assured, it wasn't intentional and would have gladly been taken care of. When you do a million transmission builds, you're bound to make some sort of mistake sooner or later.

Shit I wake up a night sometimes and think, (did I put this or that part in that transmission). God knows I have made my share of mistakes over the past 20 plus years of building transmissions. Glad you found it before you mess up the tranny.
