  • Need a few pics of 88 2.3L motors.

I bought an 88 basket case car, needed tank and put back together.
I have fuel and I have spark, but according to haynes vs internet findings, plug wire placement on cap and where I understand #1 should be on cap, are not the same. I only gave 100 bucks for this car, I would like to make it the DD. Done a few google searches, I cant find the image I'm looking for. Wire placement and where the dizzy should be pointed is what I need.

Whoever had it before me tried to put timing belt on and the cam gear was way off. When I say pieces, I mean alot of them. I was beginning to feel like it was a lost cause. But now I can carry on with the DD. And 4bangen, I may need some stuff, I'll let you know.

              yep

I'd throw the Haynes manual in the trash and get a Chiltons manual....better IMO.

I like the Haynes much better than the Chiltons. I had the set of four for an 86 Turbo Coupe. Covered body, electrical, engine and complete drive train.
