I went full time 2 years ago. The program is such a waste of time and money. Frank, Carlos, and Rick are all cool and good at what they do. Unfortunately people like myself that had the drive to learn and succeed we're held back by all of the idiots. I was the only one in all of my classes that actually paid for my classes. Everyone was on government grants, so no one even gave a shit about learning. I would usually just sit back and shoot the shit with Rick. If you do decide to go make sure you take classes with frank.

So you squandered away your own good hard earned cash?!?! WTF? I had a few classes like that in college and I pushed the professor VERY hard once I realized what was going on. If I am paying for an education then I am the customer. "shooting the shit" isn't something I do when I'm paying for it, or worse, paying interest on a loan for it.... Screw that. (For the record, yes this happened and yes I damn near failed that class. However, I did dare the professor to fail me after I showed him my documentation and lack of actual "learning" done in the class.) Your mileage may vary.

On the edit. You only get out of it what you put into it.....

I couldn't make any progress because they wouldn't let me get ahead of the other students. So I had a lot of down time. I even complained so much that the dean got invlolved and sent someone it to observe our classes and take surveys. The only class that the professor would let me get ahead in is welding. That class was badass. Stephanie was the professor and she understood why I was there and would let me try other machines if the class was behind. The body and painting classes were a complete waste of time.

Is not teaching the autobody classes. I know what you are saing. The Saturday class is way different. We do things alot different, I teach more about what is done in a real body shop. The things I do everyday. This is a self paced class. Some get alot done, others take forever to do anything. I can only show the way, I will not do it for them. I haver had some that felt I should do all the work while they watch.

True about getting what you put in. But on the other side, I have seen teachers letting students play soccer in the parking lot, they even had the school pay for a portable basketball goal so the students could play basketball. Not real sure what that has to do with Auto Body.

All I can say is, in my class it will never happen.
