Would there be any benefits doing this? I have long tubes, boss 302 intake, off road x-pipe, magna flow cat back and CAI. Just curious what would the pros and cons be on doing this with stock cams.

Ported heads with stock cams in new 5.0?

These heads already have 110% volumetric efficiency. I would leave them alone, personally.
However, the Boss 302R head is CNC'd, but it only flows 4% more.
BOSS 302R CNC HIGH-FLOW 5.0L CYLINDER HEADS p106
M-6049-M50BR* RH
M-6050-M50BR* LH
• Fits 2011-2012 Mustang GT
• Production cylinder head used on the 440 hp 5.0L Mustang
• Loaded head assembly minus camshafts, rocker arms and lash adjusters
• 37 mm hollow stem intake valve
• 31.8 mm sodium-filled exhaust valve (31 mm on base 5.0L)
• Increased rate valve springs can support 12 mm intake and 13 mm exhaust max lift (base head is 12 mm/12 mm)
• Fully CNC’d ports and chambers
• Flows approximately 4% more than 5.0L 412 hp on intake side
• 193cc intake port volume
• Chamber volume nominally 55.6 cm3

For a max effort N/A motor, ported heads would be of some benefit in the upper RPM range (similar to the Boss intake gains), but for normal street driving, you'd never get anywhere near the revs to feel it. The stock cams are pretty good in these motors too, but there are some gains to swapping over to the Boss exhaust cams. The downside to that swap is I believe they are only compatible with the Boss heads.

If I'm ripping it apart to port heads, then I'm putting cams in there. There are a few options from Comp.
Here's what someone else did. Not sure what your goals are, sounds like you're thinking pretty serious.
I have recieved tons of emails and phonecalls about our car for awhile now and especially after setting the N/A stock longblock record a couple of weeks ago so I figured I would set the record straight and post up the specs on this car.
2011 5.0 GT 300A car with Brembos
Totally stock and untouched longblock.
Boss Intake, stock Tbody
JLT CAI
WMS SCT Tune
Dynatech LT's with catless mids
Pypes supersystem exhaust
Barton Shifter
3:90 gears with True trac
Alum one piece driveshaft
Racestar 15x10 and 17x4 wheels
Hoosier 28x10.5x15 full slick
Mcleod clutch (RST)
Metco LCA's with relocation brackets
stock upper uca
stock shocks/struts/springs
UPR panhard bar
Rad support/swaybar delete
3550lbs with me in the car (was 3695 stock with me in it)
436/379 on our Dynojet Dyno last time on same tune that set the record
1.48 short time

Awesome weather/DA/Tailwind, most likely wont repeat that run again anytime soon. We also went 10.97 that day with a 1.56 60ft.
Video here;
Woodbine Motorsports 2011 Mustang GT stock longblock N/A record run of 10.88@125mph!!! With minimal modifications. Contact us for all your high performance n...
I hope that clears up some of the questions I have been getting.
Thanks everyone,
JJ

I kinda doubt it. The highest I've seen was around 440rw and it was a pretty serious build. Maybe heads and cams would get you there all motor, but like I said - I doubt it. Since the Shelby is getting a 5.8 for 2013, I'd expect one to show up in a GT or Boss in a couple of years and that might be able to crack 500rw NA.When the government pays, the government controls.
