I think she is pretty close but I'm new to these cables. It's a Lokar cable and I have it adjusted where there is little to no slack at rest. When cruising at say 25-30mph, flooring the gas should send the AOD to 1st gear? Mine doesn't. It feels Johnny on the spot when cruisIng at other speeds and u mat the gas. It downshifts right. But the car doesn't want to downshift into 1st at all. It's annoying because u can feel that there is one more gear to go into! Engine is screaming for it. So, do I need to take even more slack out of the cable? I don't want to over adjust if there is a chance of damagin the tranny with too much tautness in the cable. Thanks.

You'd have to google the exact numbers, but that cable is set correctly by measuring the pressure at one of the ports on the side of the trans. It is set to a certain pressure at idle, then it has a range for WOT. There is little play at the bottom end, too far one way or the other and it won't shift right. if you're just making blind adjustments, you can end up with too little pressure at cruise speeds and burn up the trans.
