and im tired of thinking. i got this great idea to strip down the throttle body and egr shit on my lightning and clean it all out.....dont ask. anyhow i didnt think about gaskets until it was too late. that being said cant i just get a 5.0 gasket set for the egr plate and valve body and use that. All the 5.8 sets are the twin bore bullshit. not sure what diameter the throttle body is. im thinking 60mm but i could be wrong.

throttle response was horrible, i intended on just cleaning out the throttle body....then i dug a little deeper.....pretty soon ill have it down to a bare block if i dont put it back together soon.

and to top it off the night started out (at 1am) with just replacing the drag link inner tie rod end and steering box.......

Just make your own gaskets. I don't buy gaskets for the TB anymore.

You will need gaskets for a 65mm and the parts store won't stock them.

This is why I keep a roll of gasket material and a small ball peen hammer. Most of my work happens well after the parts house closes.

You can get by with folder paper and a very light smearing of gasket sealer.

The gasket maker stuff does work, but I hate to use it. I usually wind up with a vacuum leak after a few months. It's also messy.
