  • My new car!

Well it aint a mustang anymore.

Better pics tommorrow after I clean it up!

It's a 1996 Lt1 Corvette. Targa top. Auto, 3.08 gears, 120k, new-ish paint. She is pretty much bone stock minus some Borla stock replacement mufflers and a K&N filter. This was my Girlfriends dad's car, and it made 285/297 to the wheels at a truestreet dyno.

Plans? Fix some minor issues: Crankshaft Position sensor, door sensor, some weather stripping. This summer: Stall convertor, Elliot's portwork le2 heads, and Lsa cam. Goal of around 410rw. The car is totally different than mine, really torquey!

NICE! I love the C4, more so than the C5. I am also a new LT1 owner, got a 93 Formula Firebird M6. And yeah, that LT1 is a torquey SOB compared to the 4V or any mod motor.

I have been doing my research on the LT1 and TBH it got overshadowed by the LS1, but you can make some serious power with them. H/C/I starts pushing 400RWP on the damn thing and shit is CHEAP for it.

                              Nice car for your age.

Why not try leaving it alone since it is probably your only wheels? Don't mod your ONLY DAILY! When you have to replace the distributor, spend the money on an MSD and not a stock replacement. It will be better suited to resist the water pump leakage issues.
