  • Know a good Infiniti/Nissan Mechanic in Tarrant?

I'm getting some weird behavior out of the '03 G35 so I'd like somebody that knows their stuff to get a look at it. Tapping sound from the engine, goes away when the transmission is in gear, erratic idle RPM.

Know of anybody/place I should go to?

    Thanks in advance.

Loves me some Dave, but to be perfectly honest, the Ranger was a major PITA to deal with. Not saying it was his fault, but I'd like a fresh (and closer) solution here.

Any oil consumption? How many miles? Plugs are good? Check the TB and make sure its not gunked up?

Try posting up on g35driver.com and infinitiscene.com too....

No oil consumption, 116Kmiles, haven't torn into it myself but the noise tells me it probably isn't the TB.

Thought about posting to g35driver, but based on searches, it could be a few different things from a cam sensor to spun bearings. I don't have time to diagnose it myself, so I was hoping I could find someone local that knew their stuff so they could figure it out. At this point, I just want to know where to have it towed in the morning.

At least the '66 is running just fine.

Auto. Haven't checked codes (I actually haven't driven it more than 20 feet after hearing that noise). No CEL on though.

Yeah, Red Oak is definitely too far for a tow, but I'd love to hear any thoughts he might have. Thanks man.
