Do your self a huge favor and go to napa. The autozone and oriley ones were always junk. I bought mine at car quest, and it has been 7 years now, and its been fine. This was after replacing 6 of them. 4 from autozone and 2 from oriley. I spent a little more, at car quest, but I have not had any issues since.

The ones from carquest are either wells or Standard motor, Just like AZ and Oreilly's fyi. The Borg Warner ones from Oreilly's are better quality made by Standard.

OK well there are two relays. I went to Napa & they had one in stock. I ordered the other one. Should be here this afternoon.

Got back to the house & plugged the new Relay in & still no luck, I tried both of the old Relays in the other Relay plug & both must be bad cause the pump doesnt prime or even make a noise

Test for power at the pump and start tracing it back from there. Fusable links are any large square or similar area incorporated into the wire, usually near the 12v source.

Mine was Standard. There is a place in Kennedale called parts plus that sales nothing but standard stuff. I never have any issues with there parts.

Let me ask you this, when you unplug the relay, is the end with the wires corroded? Mine was green, as it had water in it at one point.

No the wires look fine. Im thinking its this fusable link that is blown.

I read on another thread to run a wire from the relay to the fuel pump directly with a 75 fuse between the two! But not sure which Relay I should go off and what power side I should wire in to the fuel pump. I have the tank dropped completely out & can see the postive wire & negative that go straight to the fue pump itsel

I also can see the yellow wire off the solinoid that should go to the fuseable links, But dont see the Fuse links or feel them under the wire wrap

Ok Fitzwell gave me a hand over the phone, I think the fuel pump is working. But it doesnt make that loud sound when you turn the key over, But the pump is making a noise like its sucking/running noise. Just not that priming noise im used to hearing when I hear the fuel pump primes

Youd know if you were to check fuel pressure.

Ignition switch? Youre not getting power? Have you checked for voltage at the pump?

Looks like you're just throwing parts and hoping for the best.

See if it starts with starter fluid, that'll tell you of it's spark or fuel related, go from there. If the pump isn't getting any voltage then I'd suspect the ignition switch or a possible short that caused the fused link to blow.

OK I am getting frustrated, I cant get the fuel pump itself to sink down in to that box in the gas tank for shit.

I have the sock on the bottem of the fuel pump facing foward towards the engine. But everytime I drop the fuel pump in the tank the sock & the fuel pump get stuck between the passenger side of the tank in between that Box & side of the tank.

Any tips on getting this to go in right would be greatly appreciated!
