Mike fixed the trans in my dodge for a tenth of what I was being quoted from other shops. He was given the truck and a blank check, and treated me very right. I've sent a few friends his way since then too."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

Anyone know if twist-tite hose can be used for transmission line? Summit list it @ 250psi and it is compatible with engine oil, fuel, and coolant. Seems like if it can handle 250psi, temps of engine oil and coolant, and doesn't breakdown with fuel, it should be fine for transmission line. Any input?

I can assure you with 100% certaintly that this has NO good outcome.
3 times in the span of 2 weeks last season KidCapri's car blew trans lines off of it (they were the nylon version of what you speak of). He had to change to the steel braided lines.
The only option outside of steel braided lines are crimped hydraulic hoses.
...having said that, at some point in the near future you should invest in a trans temp guage.

I consider myself lucky, the trans fluid never got under my tires in either incident. The problem with the black nylon lines was the temp, not the pressure. The nylon actually melted and caused the "friction" fit of the hose to fail. The lines on the under side of the car that run to and from the cooler are rubber hydraulic lines that I had made at a hose place in Ft Worth. Maybe Stewart Hose or something like that.
