      I have built $500.00 glides for dirt cars and built units that cost upwards of $5000.00. It all depends on what you want to spend. A $1300.00 glide will get 90% of racers down the track.

        You know what's funny is some of you Ford guys would yell C4 C4 Mikes Trick shift C4 is the only one and etc etc.
        Now you are yelling PG PG Mike is the PG man!!

        I had ran a glide before "YOU" guys agreed that it was cool and the way to go.
        Point being,is if you wanna go faster put a glide in it and if you wanna keep throwing money at it put a c4 in it and if you wanna go cruising around put
        a 4l80 in it.
        Woods Racing put a glide together for me back in 02-03 and the car went faster than the C4 ever did.
        No no I ain't one of your online gang banging posters on here and no I don't go to the GTG that get put on,so I have no proof, but the glide that Woods Racing put together for me proved to me and others around me.
        Others followed on to the PG ban wagon.

          I don't know wtf you're talking about, but it's certainly not me. I've had a C4, and even at 700RWHP it took forever to figure out what was making it break. Yes, after I took it to Mike's - THAT is when it started working.

          Who would recommend a C4 for a LSX powered car anyways?

            You know what im talking.
            No one ever said put a c4 in a Ls powered mustang,I'm just simply stating how you amongst others swore by a c4 built by Mike....
            Turbo powered engine with a c4 is a whole different cookie and you know this.
            I know Mike and I ain't taking shit away from him.

              You do know the powerglide has always been the tranny to go to for drag racing for a very long time right? You are certainly not the first to run one.

                  You have one thing right - C4's are junk.

                  You most likely taking something I've said in the past out of context. Most likley what you've read was that if whoever had a C4, and needed it done, that I recommended taking it to Mike.

                  I've had a 700RWHP 'turbo engine' WITH a C4, built by Mike- It ran 6.0's at 112 @ 3400lbs. It made close to 200 passes on a C4 with no problems.

                    Jesus, this stuff is expensive, building a king-ding-a-ling shaft for it though.

                    3" DOM .83 shaft, 1350 Strange slip yoke, 1350 Strang Pinion flange w/Strange U-bolt's.

                                Just going to use them to make the shaft, bought the slip yoke and pinion flange from Jegs (cheaper). FTW gear/axle were by far the most reasonable.

                                On that note, you willing to let me borrow whatever I'll need to swap out the pinion? (Beam torque wrench or 1/4" t/w?)
