  • john deer?

    I have a John deer riding lawn mower. And it had a dead battery so i went to jump it off and it starts and runs but as soon i pull it off the jump box it starts to die. How can i fix this? Any help would be great Thx?

    a fully charged battery is where id start

      Then it will run until the battery dies. Sorry forgot to include that. I thought it was a bad battery also.

                  something similar to this, usually unde the flywheel. could need a voltage reg or something as well

                        Voltage regulator is a common failure I believe, rule of thumb for all small engine jump starting is never leave the assisting vehicle running while jumping the dead one(motorcycle, lawn mower, atv etc), it can damage the charging system.

                        There are several forums for john deere stuff, Google search your model and charging sysyem and I net you'll find some useful info
