What is everyone running cylinder pressure on a 10/1 compression

  • #2
I would assume 150-180 psi. cylinder pressure will be dependent on valve events.

Do you have to run lower compression with an f cam

He means that a cam with a lot of overlap will give lower compression readings than a cam with low or no overlap

Well I just did a cylinder compression test and all cylinders are reading 80 psi

Or confirm with a different gauge

I did different guage and bumped it like 20 times the most I could get out of it was 80 psi. Car is still pooping out of the intake but when clears up runs like a beast. Not like a dead motor like the test are showing. I also did a vacuum test and was at 7 psi at idle

I would assume the fcam would give ya 14 to 15 psi with healthy motor.

You cranked the motor over until the gauge quit climbing and only got 80 psi each time?

It's not psi on vacuum side, its measured in inches of vacuum
