  • Shifter in 11/12 GT

    How hard is it to install one? I've been looking at the MGW and Hurst shifters.
    2010 F-350 6.4L SRW CC 4X4

    Spartan tunes, 5 inch flo-pro, 4 inch down pipe, cold side piping, AFE stage 2 CAI, EGR delete, Air Dog II

    2012 Mustang 5.0 GT Stock........for now.

    I liked the stock shifter, so I left it. But I did replace the shifter bracket with a beefier one. This thing mounts the shifter to the body. This firmed it up nicely without transmitting too much harshness into the shifter.

            Not hard.....just take your time and you'll be fine. It isnt' 6 bolts like they used to be though. MGW all the way. IMO.

              Yeah I ordered a MGW but they are on back order for 3 weeks.

                Steer clear of the Hurst, it rattled like hell in mine. I had a Barton in after that and it was a great shifter, but as soon as the MGW was on the market, I ordered mine. You will not be disappointed with it.
