Cam dowel pin...

Where can I get one?
I bought a cam and have my motor tore apart tonight doing the swap. I absolutely cannot get the dowel out of the stock cam. New cam did not come with one. It was brand new but purchased second hand.
I can make one tomorrow morning at work but I have no idea how strong it needs to be.
I know it should measure .312" od x 1.25" long. I would just rather get an OEM one to avoid it shearing and wiping out all of my valves...

Would a hardened roll pin work?

Didn't think so. I managed to get the stock one out of the old cam just a little while ago.
