BS, it's a tight fit but when the car you're pulling it from is junk you can get it out pretty easy.

It's a weekend job, no need in make it over complicated, it's a plug and play swap.

wish i had some free time. i would buy that and rebuild it. i miss my vobra. if you dont have a lift and full set of tools etc dont even attempt to swap it yourself. its not a tough job but can be difficult in your garage with no room and a bs toolbox

Or buy a motor already out of the car..

Done the swap before, the engine trans and headers were in the car in 45 minutes - 1 hour.

Very easy to drop it in all as one.

I speak from my personal experience doing both, not BS from behind a counter. Could it be done in a weekend by competent mechanics? Yes, but it also has potential to turn into a hack job if not done correctly.

I'd rather take the time to do the job correctly......I've already read enough of your problem stories to know that you will cut corners when working, even to the point of being personally unsafe.....now use those jackstands when getting under the car. Don't get mad bro, I'm just stating facts.

I'm not suprised you blew it up after we all warned you not to push it, and after finding out how much it might cost to fix, you are trying to sell it, and for more than the mess is worth.

I've done the swap, so I too have personal experience in this area.

It's easy, it's nuts and bolts and plugs. Big deal.

Say whatever you want man, not hurting at feelings here, but don't sit there and make it seem like it's a hard job to do.

If he got a supercharger on his car, Im sure he can figure out how to swap long blocks.

Mike, I wasn't implying that it was a hard job nor that it couldn't be done easily, just that engine removal from the Mark is much different from engine removal from the Stang....if you are taking care not to break things and label them so you can easily determine where everything goes or reuse. Removing the bottom exhaust manifold bolts on the drivers side of the Mark so that the engine can come out the top is a total bitch of a job.

R & R of the Mustang longblock with another engine already out of the car should easily be accomplished up and running in a weekend....maybe even in one good day.

                      You're comparing apples to oranges.

Mike is speaking about the $300 Mark that they yanked the engine out of, and I bet that it was out in a few hours. When you don't give two shits about the car it's being pulled from, it's quick. I mean, think like this: with air tools, a pry bar and a pair of dykes to cut anything (hoses, wires etc), all you really have to do is chock the rear wheels, pull the subframe bolts from the chassis, cut anything connecting the drivetrain to the car with the dykes, jack the front of the car up and stuff tires under the body to keep it raised, pull the engine from the subframe, drop the car back down, throw the chassis bolts back into the subframe (hell with some jack stands the wheels can even stay on the front) call PickNPull and they'll tow the shell and give you $50.

Longer time = caring. Less care, less time!

If you get a mark for 400$.. You tear the motor out and send the shell to a scrap yard, why take care of it? Lol

It's not destructive, per se, it's purposeful
