have to agree with Buzzo.
ive seen some pretty sweet 96-98 Cobras with perfect paint and good running drivetrains on craigslist going for 4500-5500.
it would be hard to drop that kind of money on a car that you already know needs the motor rebuilt AND a new paint job.
if the motor was still good it would probably be an ok price.2011 Mustang GT

I'll be asking $3500 after I sell the blower. And if that doesn't work, I'll put rings in and sell it for $5kLast edited by Cobraman; 02-17-2012, 11:08 AM.2012 GT500

good lucky buddy, i was actually shocked we were able to get as much as we did out of our cobra (4750), but it also had a fresh motor and good paint.
i'm telling you (but you won't care), sell the blower for ~2k, buy a junkyard 5.3 for ~500 (find one w/harness), convert the harness (lt1swap.com has instructions, cost next to nothing), buy some 4.6 mounts (just have to slightly modify), find a th350/400 or 4l60/80 on tech w/converter and get it running. it'll be faster then the 4.6 n/a then build a budget turbo setup for it and beat the hell out of it and if it blows know you just have to drop in another junk yard motor.

I'll keep that in mind after I sell the blower.2012 GT500

Sell the blower, buy a good JY long block with the money, get it running and decide if you want to sell it.Originally posted by PGreenCobraI can't get over the fact that you get to go live the rest of your life, knowing that someone made a Halloween costume out of you.
