Ill give you the TC all the parts in my closet and 1g for the old 65.
That MF'er is prolly so fast it would be like riding a big giant can of rape named bubba just outta prison set free in a girls college dorm.

Eventually fixing a turbo 2.3 SUCKS. Once it holed a piston, I gave up.

I really like the '83-86 TCs but the '87-88 cars were just too big for their breeches. They tried to be more car than they really were, and trying to repair that '80s technology is a massive headache.

This one was kinda fun before it died.

When the government pays, the government controls.

But I feel like I am always working on it to keep it in the shape its in. Hell it only has 82k miles on it. It just needs someone that has more money to keep it up or that puts less miles on it.
Oh, I totally understand. I had one that was a salvage title, rusted, 220k, but would start right up, power seats worked, premium fuel switch worked, keyless entry pad worked...everything worked except the sport suspension and power antenna. It ran great, too. Hauled serious ass for a 4 cylinder in a boat.

This is more of what I'm saying. Some of them are turds, especially when you compound them with previous owners who didn't fix stuff correctly or use the recommended Ford part. For whatever reason, a lot of the aftermarket stuff will throw off the stock reliability of these cars. A lot of people don't know that, or know the market and think they can make money off of buying and selling these cars. Unless you get it dirt cheap, you can't. You can frequently find low(er) mileage cars on ebay ~$6-7k. Anywho, that's just my experience with them. Like I said, I hope it all works out for ya. If you need to check anything out on my car for reference, just let me know.

Sorry, I don't need another project. Sell it, and come talk. My '65 needs a new home.

i think it's all the assholes rubbing off on me, maybe i need a dfwm vacation!

(the breaks one was pretty funny though, he used brakes like 15 times in that sentence (all wrong mind you), then i felt obligated to point out the next one that came up)

seriously though, i don't mean to sound like a douche.

82k miles or not the car is 24years old. Crap deteriorates, you should expect to be replacing some of that by now

My bad, I guess I should have been more specific. I was trying to tell Shane that if he needs help, I can let him know what it looks like stock with stock parts, or come test parts on my car. My car will be for sale soon, though. I just have too many cars and want to get something new. It's an '88 coupe with '88 TC engine, 5-speed, all power.
