Metal radiator hose

Looking at fabbing a lower radiator hose for my truck because of the odd bends and wanting to put a temp sensor in that spot for the electric fans. My predicament is what material to make it out of, I know stainless or aluminum would be best but why not steel? My reasoning behind it is the metal heater lines on foxes are atleast 19 years old and still holding up so why wouldn't 16gauge aluminized tubing last anywhere near that long?

What are the heater lines made out of on foxes?

I would be finding a set of silicon hoses and mount that sender elsewhere. Full metal hose is too rigid, its gotta have some flex, or it will get yanked off.

it will work just fine. it can be a PITA to get the thing in place with two hose ends. might find yourself putting a v-band break in the middle

We use alumnized steel for all of our coolant and charge air tubing. You won't have any problems.
