Anyone know a good guy or shop that rebuilds t5's near North Fort Worth? How much does a rebuild usually run? Or is it cheaper to buy a rebuilt or new one.

Second gear could be a syncro or a shift fork.
Shift forks are $20 and can be fixed very easily.

I have one in the 90 and in the 68, no grinds ever into reverse.
The one in the 68 has been behind the h/c/i 351 for years of abuse with hard launches on drag radials. No problems yet.
Not saying that's typical, I think I'm just lucky. I have tore up a few before this one but for some reason the one I'm on now just won't die. Knock on wood.68 Coupe- 351w, TFS heads, Comp XE284, 5 speed, Explorer 8.8, 4 Wheel Discs
