04 cobra trans question.

So today I'm investigating a small leak that I've been noticing from my transmission, and also, my back up lights don't work. I crawl under the car and notice a plug on the passenger side that is blue that isn't hooked up. Not sure if that is the reverse light plug???? Also, I notice in the "center" section of the transmission also on the passenger side towards the top there is a threaded hole that looks like it should have a plug in it, and that looks to be where the fluid is coming from. My question is, is that supposed to have a plug in it? Right next to the hole there is a small 90 degree "pipe" looks like a vent pipe but I'm not sure. Any details on this would be great. I tried to take a couple of pictures of it, and I'll post those here in just a minute. Thanks everybody.

This picture is looking from the passenger side, over the x pipe, and up into the trans tunnel. You can clearly see the threaded hole, and kind of see the blue plug that I was talking about.

Ok, cool. My rears are disabled, so not a big deal. Any idea where the reverse light switch is??

I just looked up the t56 service manual. And it look like the piece that should be in the hole is piece #56, nomenclature is "Detent Assembly, Shift". Exactly what does this part do? And where the hell can I find one?

Got this post from another forum in response to this thread. Figured I'd post it up here to somewhat complete this thread for future users.

Read up on the antivenom mod. You'll find out everything you want to know about the shifter detent.

BTW, go buy two Dorman Oil Tite #65277 and put those on the bolt before you reinstall it. Then you too will have the anti venom mod done....even though youve had the ultimate anti venom done and did not notice a difference lol.

Yes the threaded hole should have a detent screwed into.
