  • Fuel lines

I was reading alot of negative feed back about the braided fuel lines.. I have seen people use the rubber houses.. What do you guys suggest. I know the rubber is a lot cheaper. I have ready after a couple years the braided lines start to crack,

Also if anyone has a cell that is at least 8 gallons that they want to get ride of please pm me..

It depends on what kind of fuel you're running. They make different kinds of braided hose, it could be they just didn't buy a fuel/oil rated hose and that's why they're having problems.

I for sure wouldn't use standard black rubber hosing anymore, there's far too much alcohol in fuels now, they won't last long. At a minimum use the blue hose, it's relatively cheap, you don't have to buy special ends, and it lasts a pretty long while. The drawback: 1) it's heavy, 2) it doesn't look the best.

I run the blue rubber lines as feed and return and braided inside the engine bay. I would have to say that all my stuff has to be atleast 8-9 years old and not a single problem.

Do this. Just keep an eye out for it. Most any rubber based hose will eventually break down.

The "ideal" hose would be stainless, braided, teflon line. It not as flexible, but it doesnt make your garage smell like a lawnmower shop.

Also, unless your setting your car on kill, you can go buy some large brake line from oriellys and bend it to fit your chassis.

3/8 will take you pretty far
              One day at a time.
