  • Want to make some $$$ <-- Chevy 350 help

My friend's truck got a cracked head and all that fun stuff. He got the heads replaced and got the new gasket set. He needs someone who can put them on and adjust the valves. I think he can do the rest such as the intake manifold and all that.

How much would any of you charge him for that? let me know on here. PM me or call him at 972-522-8886. His name is Joe.

I think the truck is a low 80's chevy. It shouldn't be that hard but I think he's clueless when it comes to that stuff.

If it is stock, there is no adjusting the valves, just torque the rocker arms down.

This isn't true. They are stud mount.

Just tell him to follow the instructions on Comp Cams website.

My bad. It's off 635 and Luna. I think it's somewhere around there.

As if it weren't stated above ALL GenI SBC's are adjustable.

What he's needing done is so simple it's retarded. There's any number of a million or so install articles on the net - get one and learn something. The only think I could forsee bieng a problem would be the distributor install..

Nothing hard about that, esp if the motor is out.

Nope, not at all - but for some reason, there's a lot of confusion every time this happens.
