BODY GUYS IN !!!How expensive are these dents on this Bed to fix

Im looking at picking this up for the Business for this next season. I went & test drove the truck & it has good power & drives well & for the money its half the price of what trucks are going for in this style

The truck is a 99 5.3 Silverado with a fair dent in each side of the bed of this truck. Im going to be paying out of pocket to have these dents fixed if I buy the truck. Which is fine. I had planned on spending 5k for a new truck. But the truck is not as clean as I would like, Carpet is Dirty & needs cleaning & the tint is purple. But for 3k im interested in picking it up if these dents wont cost me 2k to fix

It's hard to see the dents in the pics. If body work is going to cost a lot you might be better off buying a new bed for it. You have a good chance of finding a white one too.

seb, they would likely reskin the bedsides. prolly easier and cheaper to score a used bed.

like others have mentioned a used bed would best their usually around $600 or cheaper. call affiliated auto salvage 972 263 2239 ask for Felipe.

In the pics it looks like a short bed? I'd look on Craigslist, PnP website and call some local auto wreckers. I'd say for a clean short bed around $500 +/-. If you need it painted you should prep it yourself then have Earl Schieb/Maaco spray it. Altogether it should be under $1,000.

Just called & they dont have any in right now. But he said stay in touch & he should get more in.

They probably could but with labor you'll most likely be looking at more then what a used bed and some paint would cost. Give LKQ a call too.

I already have a 94 GMC work truck. This truck is for Sales Calls & for Residential jobs where I just hall the Self Propelled mowers, I would like to have a nice truck to go Bid jobs in & be proud of it. I roughed it the past 2 years in my old 94 GMC & its time for something nice. Besides when I haul brush & trees I still have the other truck that is all beat up. But keeps running LOL

I picked it up last night. Very excited. Def feel like it was worth $3000 & it has the 5.3 motor. Its stock, But feels pretty quick for being stock. My black 02 Silverado didnt feel this fast stock.

you are honestly looking at $1500 in repair if you dont replace bedsides and that is on the cheap. If you can find a white bed that might be the best option. If you have to paint a whole bed you arer back in the same boat as before materials are expensive. repair time is based on (hopefully) the pass. bedside is not as bad as the driver. If I can't get a trans hoprefuly i can give you some info.
