FWD roar

I test drove an SVT Contour earlier and while driving it it had a very noticeable "roar" noise coming from the front of the car. What do y'all think? CV joints, bearings, etc. It did have bald tires but didn't shake the wheel or pull. Drove smooth.

Unfortunately no, it was the dreaded 98.

IDK, the 00's get the spoiler and extra 5hp, but lemme tell you that "smart" returnless pump introduced then is a MAJOR pain.
I'm betting on the CV joints, or something of that nature.
If you get it, ziptie the jackpoints and sideskirt on, lol, they like to fall off a lot if bothered

Did the noise change with turns? Not going to be a CV shaft, they click and clunk, not roar. Likely just the worn out tires, but it could be a wheel bearing.

Mmmm, no. If I get the car it is getting fresh tires. I wonder how well 4 lug Cobra R's would fit...

I had an inside (up by the tranny) CV joint do that, and like to have never found it.
