I ordered a reman 130 amp alternator on Jan 5th and it arrived today via FedEx (Jan 9th).

Not too shabby.

It was $89.99 shipped with no core charge and it has a 2 year warranty.

Autozone wanted $139.99 + tax ($151.54) and $35 core charge for a comparable reman alternator.

My son put a "system" (amp and subwoofers) in the 1997 F150 and I just wanted to upgrade the alternator. So, I'll have the other core laying around if anything happens to this online purchase.

Holy crap, they are actually listing a generator for the 57 Cadillac that I am working on. Might have to give them a call.

I guess they test each alternator and include a spec sheet.

My alternator showed to max out at 146 amps and 1,800+ volts.

Just checked the price on one for my truck and it's pretty damn cheap compared to what I've been pricing (Alterstart and Autozone). Just wonder how the quality is.
