I guess you haven't seen them all then.

I'm not saying they are the best just saying they have worked for me. The few times I have had questions Patrick has been there with the answers. I will say hes not a good guy to email but if you get him on the phone he is pretty cool. I also have a pro-system alky carb on my N/A s-10 that works flawlessly.

I heard they are good at N/A carbs but the word has always been that they arent that great for forced induction. Its been a while since I was on the turbo mustang boards but CSU and C&S were the go to people. Alot of the other companies, pro systems included, didnt seem to work that great without a lot of work where as the CSU and C&S carbs went on with minimal tweaking right out of the box.

I dont have a dog in this fight but I always heard the same as Bigshoe.

I'm amazed at how little work was done when people bolted on a CSU carb with a blow thru set up.

            !00%

If you have a "blow through" carb with a crutch and brpv's you'll be fine! If it's a carb not designed to be pressurized it will need to be modded for blow through.

anything negative said about blowthrough is usually coming from someone who has either not used current blow through technology, or from someone who's only known EFI. (Not jabbing at you CJ, just an example)

I have a car right now, that makes well over 1000RWHP and runs 8.30's. We tuned it 3 years ago and havent touched the carb since the FIRST tune. We don't even log it anymore. It idles around 13:1 and goes to 11.5:1 under boost, every time without fail.

The second part of the blowthrough equation is ignition control. If you don't have a way to control timing under boost, you will be stuck with an ill mannered pig anything less that 3/4 throttle and whatever the timing is set for boost wise.

I custom machine my own power valves, but don't sell them yet - maybe some day sooner or later. Right now, I can say that on cars that make 1500HP or less, You'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between a carb and EFI.

For an off the shelf carb, I'd be using CSU all day, every day. Kevin is the man, and he knows his shit GOOD. I've tuned, or I should say - attended dyno sessions, track sessions etc.. with his carbs, and I can't say that I remember ever changing them from what he sends them with!

Apples to oranges, but I did a blow-through carb on my Festiva, I used a Weber carb, it worked awesome after I modified the float needle for more flow and increased jet sizes. It made an engine that was 96 hp go around 225. I ended up selling the carb and hat to a guy that put it on a Chevette, lol.
