  • Wire Cleanup Has Begun....

So when I bought this car, I noticed that someone had put in a Alpine Alarm. It did not work and I had no key fobs for it. However, they had wires ran all through the car. Some of them went to other wires and some looked as if they were supposed to be connected to something, but were not.

I pulled all of this wiring out of the kick panel and behind the radio. Tomorrow I will completely re-wire the radio and speakers so that I can finally have a CD player that works in the car.

It is a work in progress, but I am happy with the way that it is turning out

Have fun.... I rewired my car and removed all unused wiring, controls, connectors, etc. I removed the stock fuse box and installed my own, and moved the solenoid to the trunk along with all its wiring. I used the factory wiring manual to get it all done, but the book was accurate and helpful and I was able to do what I wanted.

I had about 40 full hours or so in the job, but I now know where every wire in a fox body mustang goes to and what it's for!
