Best bang for your buck: Compressor -
DFW Mustangs
HD, Lowes, Tractor supply all have some decent ones and they go on sale from time to time. Make sure you get a cast ion pump, not the direct drive, oiless shit. Don't forget you'll need a regulator and lines. Once you get it running you'll wonder how you got by without one

i have a direct drive oiless craftsman...It sucks ass, its sooo loud..I only bought it cause i needed one bad at the time and didnt have much money to spend on one
I have a 60 gallon husky compressor. It wheezes a bit when I'm sandblasting but otherwise keeps up with everything else I've asked it to do, which includes painting a car. I paid $429 for it 3 years ago and I think it's around $465 the last time I checked.
the problem i am going to have is the hook up. Most of these are 240 volt and i dont have a 240 volt outlet available that i know of
when it comes to this wiring shit, im dead stupid

I might just go to home depot/lowes and talk to them there and see what they can hook me up with. The harbor freight one looks good too.

The husky compressors are a great bang for the buck . But I find myself only grabbing a air hose 1-2 times a day now that I've gone to milwaukee electric impacts and ratchets . Just make sure you get the kits with the big batteries .

at work we use makita impacts and they work great. They are about the same price as a good compressor and thats why im going with the compressor because you can always use more tools on a compressor

If you have a 220 outlet in your garage any of the larger ones will work. That $400 craftsman oilless is a POS. You will regret that purchase quickly. If it were on sale for $99 maybe, as a throwaway portable only...

Luke, your electrical panel is in the garage close to where you would put a compressor?
