Oh Im sorry, your right. My '01 Suburban uses a different type connector than the silverados. I assumed they were the same but they are different. Yeah you have to tools similar to the fuel line disconnects.

i have the tools seems like it bottoms out before it works. its in a tight spot so i kinda half ass messed with it lol. ill try after Christmas have to much to do.

Hack the fitting to bits with some dikes and just use hose and clamps . Those quick disconnects are crap .
