New (to me) cobra, loss of power.

    I would add a Kenne Bell Boost A Spark to this car as well. Definately sounds like a fuel related/spark issue.

    I had the Cobra Tank/Pumps in my 2002 GT and had one of them fail and it did the same thing on me.

      No, he had a 4 bank chip put in it with a selector switch in the center console. Is there a cheaper version of a tuner that I can buy just to datalog? Or do I have to spend the $400 on an xcal3?

        May just be cheaper to throw it on a dyno and let them look at it. There is a way to datalog yourself with a chip in place but I think it involves a cable to purchase and then you still need a handheld.

        I just so happen to have a x3 that I will sell for 250 if you do want a tuner though (shameless plug).

          Start off easy and check fuel filter just to eliminate that. Cutting out for a split second sounds like a pprv problem to me as well. Could possibly be a bad spot in the tune file. Are you running 93 or a mix of race/pump? What octane was the tune file setup to run on? How much timing are you running etc?

          BTW since this is a new car to you.... if you are ever under full boost and your hear what sounds like marbles rolling around by your shifter, then it is detonation and get out of it. It will save you a ton of money

            Thanks, and yeah detonation is bad, lol. I've ran it on two different tunes and it did it on both. I'm running 93 octane. The tunes that I ran it on were tuned for 93 octane. I'm only assuming that the fuel filter is just forward of the tank?

              However, check the voltage at your battery with the engine off then check it again with the engine running. Hopefully there is an increase in voltage. This will only tell you if it's charging, though.

              EDIT: there will normally be a check engine light if a sensor is thinking it's having an issue. Normally.

              Hopefully no one has removed the check engine light. Do a scan just for the sake of doing it.
              Just got a chance to check alternator output, 14.3V was the output. So I don't think that there is an issue there. Going to check the vacuum line from the FRPS.

                Just checked the vacuum line coming off of the FRPS and there wasn't a drop of gasoline in it.

                  check the gaps and the condition of all the coil boots. look for carbon tracking also
